I am writing to bring to your attention some 
of the fears and concerns I have for the future.

Fissionable material for nuclear power stations 
is not safe to transport or work with. It is 
highly toxic and the waste products from a 
nuclear power station are not safe to store 
or dispose of for a very long period of time.

Accidents happen, and the cost of an accident
within a nuclear power plant, or in transporting
materials to or from a nuclear power plant, has 
been catastrophic every time it has occurred. 

Renewable energy is a much safer option and a 
more appropriate technology. In a country like 
India, it will serve the purpose of grassroots 
development better than a centralised option like
nuclear energy.

As my representative, I respectfully urge you 
to do all that is in your power to diminish the
presence of the nuclear industry in this country.
I request that you make all efforts to promote 
safer alternatives.
